0037 | in which I discuss e-books & share a few screenshots from Prince Maker Braveness

► Just jumping right into the topic for today... E-Reader or Physical Books?

This is a fairly easy question for me to answer, though it's a bit more complicated than it would have been about six months ago. The answer? Physical books. Definitely physical books.

That's mainly because 1) I really like holding books, 2) I really like how books look on a bookshelf, and think they're the best decorations, and 3) I'm strongly against spending money on something that I would only "own" digitally.

There are some exceptions to this, as the fact I have a Steam account might attest to. Basically, I've grown to be fine with buying games digitally, mainly because many games I'm interested are niche titles or indie games which I can only purchase online. Still, even then it's limited to games on the PC— I'd be equally adverse to buying digital content on consoles.

That being said, I do have a Kindle app on my phone, and, as of about six months ago, I do use it. It's simply that I only use it to read free books, and generally only when I'm in line / otherwise waiting for something and not doing anything in particular. Only reading free books does limit me somewhat in terms of what I can read, but there are plenty of classic novels which I'm interested in out there, as well as Amazon Prime's lovely Kindle First program and the occasional good deal.

tl;dr I prefer physical books, but I don't have anything particularly against e-books, and do sometimes read them.

► So, apparently when I was talking about Prince Maker Braveness the other day, I completely forgot to share a couple of screenshots I took while playing. There's only two, mainly because I kept forgetting that I had that option when I saw something interesting, but it's enough to share.

Ares was already my favorite long before this scene, but he was just so unexpectedly adorable here. Every time I look at this I have the burning need to boot up the game and actually do his romance.

I can't believe that I forgot to talk about this particular relationship when I was writing up my last post about this game. The revelation here in this screenshot actually made my jaw drop (and hence the screenshot-ing of it). I mean, yeah, I'd noticed their (that is, the Head Priest & the Prime Minister) antagonistic relationship, but I can't say that I'd actually considered it in that particular light, haha.

► This is, unfortunately, going to be another short entry. While I have so much to talk about, I just don't have to time to actually do so. Tomorrow's entry will likely be similarly limited, but perhaps I'll have a bit more time on Sunday. We'll see.
