Today, I beat Star Ocean: First Departure R! There were some moments towards the end that were a bit of a slog for me, but overall, I had a great time with this one. ( final thoughts beneath the cut, including spoilers )
tl;dr great game, and I’m thrilled to have finally beat it! And I do absolutely want to one day replay it with different party member combinations (a Cyuss & Phia playthrough, y/y?), though not any time soon.
