Lu Qingjiu, Bai Yuehu

Fandom-Specific DNW: I don’t know how canon is going to handle it when it gets to that point, but for this request, I’d very much rather there be no hang-ups about sexuality from either character.

I’m keeping up with the English translation on Chrysanthemum Gardens. Any plot developments that get translated during the writing period are fair game, but please no spoilers from beyond that point, please!

I deeply love the cozy feel of this story, particularly in regards to how that coexists with the (often dangerous and deadly) supernatural. More in the same vein would be excellent! Really, I’d love anything in the tone of canon, whether it’s warm, cozy slice-of-life where Lu Qingjiu feeds Bai Yuehai (and the other characters on the farm) or Bai Yuehai running around either eating the local monsters wanting to harm Lu Qingjiu or threatening said local monsters to help Lu Qingjiu with mundane tasks ~~so he’ll have more time to feed Bai Yuehai~~. Or any mixture of the above!

Bai Yuehai’s my favorite, but I love both of them and especially their relationship with one another, which is why I requested both. I’m really fond of Lu Qingjiu’s quiet intelligence and how he takes all the supernatural encounters around him in stride (the way he keeps saying that he doesn’t know much about “this sort of thing” despite being surrounded by the supernatural every day! ♥), while Bai Yuehai’s “I’m definitely a fox! Definitely! No doubt about it!” reaction when they first met was hilarious (especially since Lu Qingjiu didn’t even ask!), and I’m really loving how his developing feelings for Lu Qingjiu are being handled. I loved this part:

Bai Yuehu had always liked smart people, so he found that he liked the young man named Lu Qingjiu standing before him even more now. The expression in his eyes as he looked at Lu Qingjiu was gentle as he thought about how pleasurable it would be to swallow the person before him whole just like with everything he liked. But if he just swallowed him down like this, would the young man’s smooth, wheat coloured skin get scratched up by his sharp teeth? If it did, it would be such a pity… Bai Yuehu noticed, this kind of feeling was probably slightly different from his appetite, very novel.

In regards to their relationship: I definitely ship them! They absolutely nail my love for quiet, low-key, slow burn romances. I’d be more than happy with more interactions in the vein of where they are in canon, but I’d also be absolutely delighted by fic about them getting together. Let them kiss!!

On a related note, I’d love to see Lu Qingjiu “feeding” Bai Yuehai in other ways… by which I mean sex. Both first times/getting together or in the context of an established relationship would be great! ~~Bai Yuehai giving Lu Qingjiu a blowjob?~~

Destruction Flag Otome [↑]

Katarina

Fandom-Specific DNW: anything focusing on one of the characters being heartbroken over Katarina ending up with someone else

Usually, I tend to dislike characters who Really Are That Dumb, but somehow Katarina utterly charmed me! Apparently, her harem-gathering abilities extend even past the fourth wall. I love her obsession with farming, her genuine kindness, her skewed perception of herself, and those moments where we get to see the contrast between that perception and how other people view her.

I ship her with essentially everyone who falls in love with her in the period between when she first regained her memories of her past life to when Maria fell in love with her, but don't ship her with the characters who fell in love with her after that. (Mentions of their crushes on her are definitely fine, though.) I’m also not interested in seeing Katarina’s engagement work out as planned, nor, though I enjoy their interactions in the light novel a lot (especially after the festival kidnapping!), am I interested receiving a story solely about Jared/Katarina.

Some prompts: While working together at the Ministry, Maria continues to ply Katarina with sweets while Katarina slowly begins to realize that she’s in love with her. An accident at the Ministry leads to the opening of a portal to the original Fortune Lovers universe, where Katarina promptly accidentally makes the original Katarina Claes fall in love with her. Keith takes her with him on a tour of their family’s lands, but they find themselves stranded somehow. Anyone takes her travelling with them to anywhere. Mary invites her a on a tour of the country’s finest farms and gardens? Alan accidentally triggers an ancient tradition which forces him and Jared to switch fiancées, much to Jared’s (and maybe Mary’s) displeasure. Weird ancient traditions in general. Anything that plays with Sophia being A-chan’s reincarnation.

Katarina ending up with a literal harem would be excellent, as would be poly arrangements in general! Nikol/Sophia/Katarina comes to mind as the obvious one, but I’d be into any other possibility as well. Maybe Mary, in her desperation not to lose Katarina, discovers an ancient tradition in their kingdom, and essentially uses her abilities to revive sedoretu-style marriages amongst nobility?

If you’re interested in writing Maria/Katarina in particular, then I also requested them for the Hurt/Comfort Exchange earlier this year, and would still love fic for any of the prompts included in that letter.

Or, if you’re only interested in writing about Katarina by herself, I’m always very weak for cozy stories about gardening and farming. (Think Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, Ursula Vernon/T. Kingfisher’s stories.) I’m also very fond of her relationship with Anne.

The Legend of the Sun Knight [↑]

Grisia, Lesus

Fandom-Specific DNWs: Anything from the 39th generation. (I haven’t read it & don’t intend to.) The second Charlotte.

Grisia is a dream of a main character, and Lesus is just as wonderful—in any other canon, he would’ve been my favorite, but Grisia exists, so he has to be a very close second instead. I love what a mess of contradictions Grisia is—he’s petty and selfish, but he’s also willing to sacrifice absolutely anything to protect the people he cares about. I love his talent at manipulation, his perfect shining Sun Knight mask (and how it contrasts with his internal dialogue), how ridiculously pretty he is, how well he suffers, and his total devotion to his holy knights. ♥

His friendship with Lesus is my absolute favorite thing; I also ship them to the stars and back. Both romance and friendship fic would be great, but if you go for the latter, please don’t pair either of them with anyone else. I especially love the “have to pretend to be enemies” thing they have going, the meetings in the toilet, and how they react when the other is hurt. I have reread Volume 5 in particular a… lot… and can I say how much I adore how this was Judgment’s very first reaction upon coming back from the dead:

After coughing for a while, Judgment regained his senses. He lifted his head and the expression that he had when he saw me was so frightening that it was petrifying. He struggled to crawl up and roared, “You revived me? You paid the price again? What did you lose…”

His first thought was for Grisia! ~~Because he knows he’s a self-sacrificing idiot when it comes to the people he cares about.~~ ♥

So, I know the Judgment Knight and Sun Knight shouldn’t go on missions together, and I know that Grisia can’t really leave Leaf Bud City post-canon without all of the Holy Knights being there, but I love mission fic and have a Need. Maybe something goes wrong in one of the bi-yearly Grisia versus Roland duels and Grisia & Lesus somehow get stranded away from the others? An accident while fighting, or maybe an ambush by some enemy? And they need to deal with getting back + the ticking time bomb that is Grisia’s Demon King side coming out again? Or—a canon divergence where it’s Lesus who comes across Grisia during the amnesia arc, not Ecilan?

In general, I’d love either of them getting hurt. Directly for the other’s sake, it happens when they’re out and about and the other has to find out about it... a scenario where it’s vital that Grisia play his perfect Sun Knight role at that very moment for Reasons, but he can’t let on that he’s been injured?

Illnesses are also great—especially when paired with get-together fic. Feverish confessions are *_* Or maybe Grisia actually manages to get drunk and gets a little handsy with Lesus? Face-touching, clinging, groping—it’s all good. Accidental confessions of feelings and/or insecurities (“Does the God of Light really want me to remain as his Sun Knight?”) are great too. :D

I also love ghosts!! Actual ghosts, characters telling ghost stories, haunted locations, spooky encounters… Maybe they go on a mission to a suspicious ~~and definitely not haunted~~ building in the outskirts of Leaf Bud City and get trapped inside?

If you’re familiar with Female Warrior, then I’d also love time travel fic where Grisia and Lesus meet the original Sun Knight, whether it’s through him coming to their time or them going to his time. The thought of how Grisia would react to finding out the truth behind the original Sun Knight’s constant praises of the God of Light is just… my everything… As a related side-note, I also adore Carol.

I also requested these two for the Hurt/Comfort Exchange earlier this year, and would still be up for basically any of the tags/prompts I requested for this fandom back then.

Who Dares Slander My Senior Brother [↑]

Wen Jing, Jun Yanzhi

Fandom-Specific DNW: I know it’s a part of the current plotline, but I don’t want anything about the other side characters misunderstanding Wen Jing’s actions and intentions and thinking worse of him for it.

In regards to sex: I’m good with dubcon—including “would consent if they knew, but they don’t know” (hello, canon-typical somnophilia!), but only if it’s set before Wen Jing realizes his own feelings, and I don’t want noncon.

I’m keeping up with the English translation. Any plot developments that get translated during the writing period are fair game, but please no spoilers from beyond that point, please!

This wasn’t the first cultivation novel that I read, but it was the first one that I genuinely fell in love with. I love the world, I love the side characters (especially He Ling, Liu Qianmo, and Ji Keqing), I love both of the main characters, and I love their growing relationship. Regardless of what you write, I do want Wen Jing, Jun Yanzhi, and their relationship to be in the focus, but please definitely do feel free to dig into the other characters, the worldbuilding, and the setting as much as you like, if that’s also your thing!

I’m so charmed by the mixture of Wen Jing’s obliviousness and how he’s so clearly super into Jun Wanzhi, and Jun Yanzhi’s frustration with how he kept running away the second the mood turned more ambiguous delighted me. As did Wen Jing’s reaction when he realized just what his own feelings were. I also deeply, deeply, deeply love the tortoise, and I can’t express how excited I was when Wen Jing first referred to it as “our tortoise”.

Some things that I would always be up for are: incidents in their daily life during the time skip, their growing domesticity combined with day-to-day life in a cultivation sect, CANON DIVERGENCE AUs, all of the canon divergence AUs!, alternate get-togethers, established relationship future fic…

Since I don’t want spoilers, I’m fine with the mysteries of the main plot taking a backseat. Which is not to say that I don’t also love plot—I definitely do, and I’d love mission fic if you’re up to it. Some tropes that I’m pretty much always here for are huddling for warmth, canadian shack, only one bed, two people only one flying swords, and time loops. I also love Jun Yanzhi as a snake! I love Wen Jing relationship’s with the “python”, and if you want to play with identity shenanigans involving that, please, do feel free.

While I’m not particularly interested in a pure PWP (please have something happen other than sex, no matter how small), I do really love smut for these two. Canon-typical somnophilia, first times (especially in the context of alternate get-togethers)... the poor tortoise getting sexiled. ...I’m also definitely not opposed to established relationship future fic involving sex with Jun Yanzhi in his snake form…
