Today, I bring a pair of memes!

Which, fun fact, is only titled that because…

…I actually wanted to title it, “what the water gave me”, but I’d already used it on this ficlet! So I hunted down other vaguely appropriate lyrics from the same song instead.
3. As If Death Itself Was Undone (Fire Emblem Fates, Sakura & Takumi, posted 2023) — “Blinding” by Florence + The Machine
……I swear I don’t actually use Florence + the Machine lyrics for that many titles! But apparently I was on a roll here.
4. The Return of Thunder (Fire Emblem Awakening, Sumia/Cordelia, posted 2023) — “The Return of Thunder” by We Are Trees
Technically, this is me using the title of a song instead of a lyric, but I’m going to count it for this meme.

6. it’s the path you choose (Scum Villain, LBH/SQQ, posted 2020) — “Black & White” (Pokémon Theme Song)

So I guess this is the time I finally reveal that I was using reworked versions of Toxic lyrics for several of my 79 fics?? I admit I’ve always been particularly amused by the contrast between “in the air and all around” vibe (both the vibe of the title & of the fic itself) and the actual source of said title.
10. make your days merry and bright (Love Nikki, Kimi/Nikki, posted 2018) — “White Christmas”
My face when I was scrolling through my works and realized this one technically counts…
11. The Final Sighs of Trees (Stand Still Stay Silent, Lalli/Emil, posted 2017) — The Last Sighs of Trees (Album) by We Are Trees
Technically this is a reworked take on an album title, not a lyric, but it’s still music-related, so I’m counting it.

Unsurprisingly, General Audiences, with 85 out of 169 total works. What does surprise me is second place—I thought it would be Explicit, but I “only” have 27 fics tagged with that rating, while Teen has 36.

I’m going to guess that it’s Shen Qingqiu. And I was half-right! He and Binghe are tied, with 22 fics each. That surprises me, because while I clearly remember writing at least one fic that included SQQ but not Binghe, I can’t remember any examples of the reverse…
(Just looked this up: I’ve written exactly one fic that has SQQ, but no Binghe, and one fic that has Binghe, but no (tagged) SQQ. The former is actually a 79 fic, while the latter is LBH/LQG.)
Since all the other questions save this one ask for top threes, I'm also going to note that third place was Shen Jiu, with 8 fics.
4. What are the top three pairings you write about?
I’m going to make another guess for this one. Number one is definitely, 100% Bingqiu. Second…. maybe YQY/SJ, or Cesare/Lucrezia?

Close! Cesare/Lucrezia is actually in fourth place, with 4 fics. I did know that Emil/Lalli is fairly high up—top five, definitely—but I didn’t realize it was still in my top three. Meanwhile, Bingqiu is exactly where it deserves to be, at number one <3

I’m going to guess Post-Canon is in there. Maybe Canon Divergence? For the “fun” tags… I feel like ghosts should be high on the list.
