Dear Writer,
Hello, and welcome! I’m very excited about this exchange and excited that we’ve (presumably) matched! I think that I’m pretty easy to please, and I’ve tried to provide plenty of information about my likes, Do Not Wants, and the kinds of fic I would like to see to make things easier on you. Hopefully, something inspires you!
AO3 Name: straightforwardly
Isabella/Éponine
For this crossover, I’d strongly prefer stories set in Niflheim. Partially because it’d be the easiest way to cross these two canons over (since Niflheim is the afterlife and Éponine does canonically die), but also because I just really love Niflheim as a setting. It’s a strange and fascinating place, and I’d love anything that delved even a little bit into its worldbuilding.
We already saw from Sunny’s “Before We Met” event that Isabella has a way with bitter, prickly, freshly-dead girls who had awful lives, so why not give Éponine the same chance at healing? Do they meet by chance, or is it something that someone else arranges? What happens? I’d love to see Éponine react to Niflheim in general and Isabella in particular. After all, Niflheim is a rather strange place-- and to a girl like Éponine, who so rarely knew any real kindness, someone like Isabella, who’s open and sweet and genuinely caring, must seem very strange as well. Would she even believe that Isabella’s being genuine?
Basically, I just want to see Isabella help Éponine heal, one way or another. Any story that includes anything along those lines would be adored.

I feel like these two would understand one another very well, since, like I alluded to in the Isabella/Éponine section, both were/are bitter freshly-dead girls who had awful lives. The only difference is that Niflheim’s given Sunny a chance to heal, while Éponine hasn’t had that chance (yet). This could be set either before or after Isabella comes to Niflheim— I’d find either take interesting.
Tuuri/Aino
A few DNWs specific to this pairing: Aino becoming infected (in prompts where that’s possible), Tuuri being infected outside of the canonical context (so, writing about her canonical infection = fine, but writing a fic in a pre-canon setting where she ends up being infected would not be), and miracle cures for Tuuri’s canonical infection. Basically, I’d be up for either something which follows canon, including the canonical result of her infection, or something which bypasses/ignores that event entirely and Tuuri lives.
This pairing… is mostly inspired by the fact that Tuuri and Aino are both young women who died, ostensibly by drowning but really because of outside circumstances, when they might have otherwise wanted to live. I really do love the idea of Aino becoming some sort of water spirit after her death, and would definitely be up for anything where Tuuri meets a water spirit!Aino. It could be while she’s still in Keuruu, or (for a more bittersweet take) something that happens when/after Tuuri herself dies. Maybe Tuuri is reborn as a water spirit too?
Or— for a slightly more cheerful fic, maybe when Aino drowns, she accidentally time-travels instead of dying, washing up on a shore somewhere in the post-Rash world? I’d especially be interested in this being pre-canon (though if you have an idea for something set during canon, go for it, as long as it’s set before Tuuri’s infected). How would people react to the discovery of a stranger unfamiliar with the Rash or the modern world? Maybe Aino is discovered outside Keuruu’s borders, and Tuuri hears about her and is immediately fascinated, and fights to gain access / talk to her herself? (In this scenario, I’d especially like it if Lalli’s the scout who finds her, just because I really like Tuuri and Lalli’s interactions, though, of course, I’d be equally happy if that part’s glossed over and the fic focuses on Tuuri’s reaction.) Or maybe Aino washes up within Keuruu’s borders, and Tuuri is the one who finds her? Mutual quarantine time? There’s just so many possibilities; I’d love to see anything you might come up with.
Sigrun/Kyllikki
Idk how this would even happen— time travel accident?— but I think we can all agree that Sigrun would make for a much better husband than Leminkäinen. Also, language barriers! ♥ One of my favorite thing about SSSS is how the characters interact with one another even when they can’t understand each other, and I’d love to see some of that here, especially if it’s Sigrun alone being plopped into Kyllikki’s time period.
I don’t have any specific prompts for if Kyllikki’s the one accidentally time-travelling to the post-Rash world, but if you find yourself with an idea involving that scenario, go for it! (Though please no infection or infection-scares for her, thank you.) Also, I didn’t think about this until after nominations were over, but feel free to combine any of the prompts for this with any of my Tuuri/Kyllikki prompts for a Sigrun/Tuuri/Kyllikki threesome!
Also, while I normally don’t really like crossovers of the “Character B always existed in A’s setting, divorced of Character B’s original context” variety, in this case I really would be up for something where Sigrun’s a Norwegian warrior woman tromping her way through Finland and runs across Kyllikki along the way. Feel free to invoke alllll the knight/princess scenarios (even if Kyllikki isn’t a princess and Sigrun wouldn’t actually be a knight). ...Honestly, feel free to invoke the knight/princess scenarios even with canon!Sigrun; I’d certainly be into it.
Tuuri/Kyllikki
Again, I don’t know how they’d even meet outside of a time travel accident, but I’d be so into this! They’re both social and don’t want to sit at home their entire lives!
Anyways: time-travel accidents! It can be Tuuri alone, or the whole group, depending on where inspiration takes you, though my prompts focus more on Tuuri alone. I don’t doubt that Tuuri’s read the Kalevala, so any Kalevala-induced nerdery on her part when she realizes where, exactly, she is, would be loved and adored. Does she come during one of the many stretches when Leminkäinen is away (and, maybe, when Leminkäinen’s mother is also away / busy reviving him), and Kyllikki takes her in? I’d love it if they were equally fascinated by one another— and seeing that fascination mingled with attraction, and maybe turning into affection/love. Bonus points for Kyllikki actually getting to feel appreciated for once.
Or— maybe Kyllikki ends up accidentally time-traveling to the post-Rash world? (Please no infection or infection-scares for her.) That would be… quite the culture shock. I’d especially like to see her end up in the canon setting (though if you’re inspired for pre-canon in Keuruu, definitely feel free to run with that!) And, again, Tuuri being fascinated by her and the world/time period she came from would be excellent. ♥

Someone has written a fic for these two, so I know I’m not the only person who thought both “these two deserve better” and “these two deserve better together”, but there should be more! I really do love the idea of Aino becoming some sort of water spirit after her death, so anything including that would be excellent.
Maybe Kyllikki meets Aino somehow and ends up going to her for refuge during those long stretches while Leminkäinen is away. Maybe she eventually decide to run away to be with Aino permanently. (You can define what “permanently” means— maybe that’s living by the seaside by herself so she can be near Aino, or she actually joins her as a water spirit, or—?)
Or, I’d also be up for canon divergence AUs. Maybe Kyllikki somehow falls into the water while Leminkäinen is kidnapping her, and water spirit!Aino ends up rescuing her from him?
Or— I’m not sure how the timelines/locations for this match up, but I’m willing to have both those things hand-waved if necessary— but maybe Aino meets an unhappily married Kyllikki while she’s trying to escape her own impending unwanted marriage, and the two of them spontaneously decide to run away together. And then they end up falling in love along the way?
Sunny/Isabella
I’m familiar with all of the main routes (though not quite all of the endings) in this game, and most of the event stories. If you want to reference something that happened in one of the temporary Grace Point event stories, feel free to do so. I remember the Lovesickness Event and onwards best, though I did read through the Grace Point event that happened before it.
I adore Sunny/Isabella, and would honestly be happy with just about anything about them. I love how prickly Sunny can be and how clearly fond she is of Isabella, and I adore the way that Isabella so clearly thinks the world of Sunny. Sunny deserves it. ♥ How would a Sunny route work? If you’re familiar with the Sunny route in the “Before We Met” event, I’d love anything spinning off from that. Or, maybe they get sucked into a novel together a la Philippe’s Halloween event? A Sunny/Isabella spin on any of the events would be fascinating, actually.
I find the worldbuilding in this game absolutely fascinating, and would worship any fic that plays with or builds upon the strangeness of Niflheim. I do strongly prefer the canon setting to the spin-off settings (i.e., the Wonderland side-story, the mafia side-story), but that being said, for this pairing I’d happily take stories set in those spin-off settings as well if that’s where inspiration takes you. I’m also a fan of canon-divergence AUs and darker takes on any of the concepts we see in canon.
I would like to drop a reminder that I do have a massive zombie squick, so if you write about J.J., you please don’t linger on him being a zombie/what that means. (I do like J.J. a lot as a character, though, so he’s definitely free to appear. Just no talking about him rotting, etc.)

Mojmira/Czesia
I realize this might be a weird pairing, but I’m really intrigued by the possibilities. After all, they’re both clever women who outsmarted a powerful, magical person/being. There’s a lot of contrast between their reasons and methods too— Czesia did it to help another, Mojmira did it to aid herself, Czesia’s encounter ended in murder, Mojmira’s simply involved trickery. I think seeing these two interact would be interesting. ...Plus it’d be hot.
Basically, I want them to meet somehow. Maybe Mojmira hears about the death of the warlock and, curious, decides to go and check out the person who killed him, only to discover this sweet, seemingly normal (albeit pretty damn attractive) peasant girl? And then they get to know one another better.
Note: I do like Sambor and his relationship with Czesia, and he’s very welcome to appear in the story if you like, as long as said relationship with Czesia remains completely platonic on both sides. Maybe, in the above scenario, Czesia dances around answering Mojmira’s inquiries because she’s trying to protect Sambor and is initially suspicious of (a very much magical) Mojmira appearing so soon after the warlock’s death?
Or— I have no idea where the Snake King story is going, but I’m pretty sure things are going to get worse before they get better. And Luba is Czesia’s friend. So maybe Czesia tries to help her, and Mojmira get involved somehow? Maybe she goes on a journey to get Luba or Luba’s sister back, and she meets Mojmira along the way, and ends up negotiating some aid from her. I’d love to see them taking down a threat together, whether in this scenario or otherwise.
Or— anything else you can think of! Like I said, I just want to see these two interact. I’m not very familiar with Polish/Slavic mythology, but I’m definitely interested, so feel free to draw any elements from there if you’d like.
In regards to both of my requests: I’m only familiar with the original game, not the sequel novels, and would rather not receive a fic that incorporated any of the canon from those novels.
Astra/Relenia
For these two, I’d be interested in both fic set during the game’s canon or post-canon! In regards to my kid!fic DNW: Anastasia can be in the fic, but I’d rather she not be the main focus, and I definitely don’t want a fic that has an “Anastasia has two mommies” vibe. That is, Relenia as a mother is fine, but Astra as a mother would not be.
What intrigues me about these two is how they’re both women who’ve given up a significant portion of their lives (even if Relenia didn’t actually age during that period) because of Edgar and Lina’s decisions, but they react very differently to the realization that it was all for nothing. I do like seeing them work together, but I also love the moments when they clash (e.g., like when they’re escaping from Edgar & Lina’s dungeons, and Relenia starts questioning what Erio can do).
They also canonically share a bed, which absolutely delights me. Anything about that night— the conversations they might have, the confessions they might share, anything— would be adored. Also, I’m normally not very interested in smut being the main focus of a story, but I would actually be very much up for “holy hell, I can’t believe we actually survived that” sex (since they’d just survived paradise’s fall). ...Especially if it gets a repeat after they beat the Original King and get off the island.
Or, how about something set after they reach their original homeland? Anything about how they rebuild their lives, the struggles that might ensue, and the way that process might bring them together. (I would prefer it if Hiante and Erio stuck with Astra even after they get to the mainland, as I’m fond of their relationships with her, but you don’t need to give either of them any real role in the fic if you don’t want to— an offhand mention of how they’re around, or even just no explicit mention that they’re not in Astra’s life would be fine.)
Astra/Erio’s Sister
We don’t know too much about Erio’s sister, but what we do know— that she’s more powerful than he is, that magic involving dreams are her speciality, and that he thought she might be irritated with him for being away from home for so long— makes for an intriguing picture. It wasn’t until my latest playthrough that the idea of shipping her with Astra occurred to me, but now I’m in love with the potential they have. Astra’s much more accepting of demons than the average human, after all, and they already have a point of connection in that they both care about Erio. Also, I just kind of love the idea that Astra’s just… really appealing to demons.
I only have one real prompt for this pairing. What if Erio’s sister gets curious about this human her little brother’s gotten strangely attached to (especially since she’s the reason why he hasn’t come home in so many years), and decides to check out the situation herself? Her being drawn to Astra despite herself would be A+.
I’d also be up for any other scenario that you come up with.
For the purposes of this request, I’d rather that any story I receive not linger too much on Erio’s (romantic) feelings for Astra. I actually do ship Erio/Astra pretty hard, so it’d be painful for me to watch his heart get broken. Please just gloss over the subject / avoid bringing it up if you can.

What intrigues me about these two is how they’re both women who’ve given up a significant portion of their lives (even if Relenia didn’t actually age during that period) because of Edgar and Lina’s decisions, but they react very differently to the realization that it was all for nothing. I do like seeing them work together, but I also love the moments when they clash (e.g., like when they’re escaping from Edgar & Lina’s dungeons, and Relenia starts questioning what Erio can do).
They also canonically share a bed, which absolutely delights me. Anything about that night— the conversations they might have, the confessions they might share, anything— would be adored. Also, I’m normally not very interested in smut being the main focus of a story, but I would actually be very much up for “holy hell, I can’t believe we actually survived that” sex (since they’d just survived paradise’s fall). ...Especially if it gets a repeat after they beat the Original King and get off the island.
Or, how about something set after they reach their original homeland? Anything about how they rebuild their lives, the struggles that might ensue, and the way that process might bring them together. (I would prefer it if Hiante and Erio stuck with Astra even after they get to the mainland, as I’m fond of their relationships with her, but you don’t need to give either of them any real role in the fic if you don’t want to— an offhand mention of how they’re around, or even just no explicit mention that they’re not in Astra’s life would be fine.)
Astra/Erio’s Sister
We don’t know too much about Erio’s sister, but what we do know— that she’s more powerful than he is, that magic involving dreams are her speciality, and that he thought she might be irritated with him for being away from home for so long— makes for an intriguing picture. It wasn’t until my latest playthrough that the idea of shipping her with Astra occurred to me, but now I’m in love with the potential they have. Astra’s much more accepting of demons than the average human, after all, and they already have a point of connection in that they both care about Erio. Also, I just kind of love the idea that Astra’s just… really appealing to demons.
I only have one real prompt for this pairing. What if Erio’s sister gets curious about this human her little brother’s gotten strangely attached to (especially since she’s the reason why he hasn’t come home in so many years), and decides to check out the situation herself? Her being drawn to Astra despite herself would be A+.
I’d also be up for any other scenario that you come up with.
For the purposes of this request, I’d rather that any story I receive not linger too much on Erio’s (romantic) feelings for Astra. I actually do ship Erio/Astra pretty hard, so it’d be painful for me to watch his heart get broken. Please just gloss over the subject / avoid bringing it up if you can.
