208 | Scum Villain reactions & recs + reactions to other cnovels
Some thoughts on the latest chapters of a few of the cnovels that I’m following:
► Transmigrator Meets Reincarnator - I’m usually an obsessive completionist, but… I straight-up skipped chapters 645-659. Even the translator recommended that people waited until they finished translating the arc to read it because it was, and I quote, “really annoying”... and when I went back to check if the arc was done (it was), I realized I had absolutely no desire to put myself through that. So I just picked it up again at 659.
(On an unrelated note, Sima Hui/Chu Lian would be cute.)
► Who Dares Slander My Senior Brother - It’s been a week since chapter 40 came out, and I’m still flailing at how Wen Jing said “our tortoise”.
► The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System - Chapter 64 made me scream a lot, in a good way. (Certain parts of chapter 63 did too, actually. Zhuzhi-Lang is such a cutie, I was beyond delighted by SQQ vigorously-albeit-silently defending LBH’s status as the most handsome person in the world, and the sudden re-appearance of The Resentment of Chunshan killed me in the best way. ...Also, that scene where ZZL burns off the QingSi sprouts was surprisingly hot. )
But chapter 64! That kiss! That moment when both SQQ and I realized that it wasn’t a dream! ZZL’s incredibly bad timing! Shen Qingqiu sitting on top of LBH to keep him hidden! Holy hell, that was a great chapter.
Someone also translated the Honeymoon Daybook extra, and I am melting. It’s so sweet. So sweet. I died at this bit of outsider POV on SQQ and LBH:
On a different note, I’m going to be laughing forever at Luo Binghe wanting to use the Immortal Binding Cables for sex actually being canon. I love it. So much. (There’s actually a pretty good fic with that concept—no recreation but one another by thrallax, 7.6K, complete. It does include some kink negotiation, in case that’s not your thing—it’s not mine either, but for whatever reason, it worked for me in the context of this fic.)
► Speaking of Scum Villain... I’m still very ??? at the thought of twitter for fandom, but I did spend about a week or two poking around it looking for Scum Villain fanartbefore giving up on it, haha. I dumped links to some of my favorites in the cnovels threads on FFA, but I want to link them here too, if only to make it easier for me to find them later.
Also, someone else was the one who found this one, but I really liked this Scum Villain / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation / Heaven’s Blessing* MC/ML comparison.
* I haven’t actually read that one yet—I’m waiting for the translation linked on NovelUpdates to get further before I start.

He maintained a cold expression until he was asked about the young man next to him, when his lips finally upturned into a slight smile.Though all the eye-flirting and Binghe’s stickiness and callbacks to their past together was also all very good, as was this bit:
Seeing Luo Binghe, the cool and arrogant Demon King, waiting on him patiently and sticking as close to him as an inner robe, Shen Qingqiu couldn’t stop the pleasant fluttering in his chest. The longer he watched him, the more his fondness grew; he couldn’t help himself.Just, SQQ being openly and obviously in love with LBH <33333
